Sizes given are finished measurements. You’ll need 7 (7, 8, 8, 9, 9, 10, 10, 11, 11, 12, 13) hanks of the recommended yarn to knit the garment; shown in color “Fjord”.

As anyone who was knitting drop-shoulder sweaters with me in the 80s can attest, drop shoulder + hand knitting doesn’t always equal a great garment. The biggest key to making these sweaters attractive and comfortable to wear lies in their fabric, which needs to have enough movement and “crushability” to comfortably lie under the arms.

This pullover has a more modern fit with slimmer arms; to avoid a constraining, uncomfortable sweater I recommend choosing a size with at least 8’’/20.5 cm of ease, with more ease being completely okay.
