In the city of Rome there lies a beautiful lush oasis called Villa Borghese Park. Rich with history and a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the busy streets.

The colours in this cowl remind of days spent walking the grounds, feeding the ducks and sitting quietly on a bench with a good book. Many evenings were spent strolling through on our way to ethnic restaurants and then returning afterward for a glass of wine on an outdoor terrace and enjoying the moonlight.

With a single skein of hand dyed yarn you too can capture this beauty.
Planned pooling is what creates the muted effect of the colours and this pattern will explain how. A photo tutorial will walk you through the steps of attaching the buttons and the finishing touches. There are no buttonholes which makes it very simple to do. I love simplicity and beauty!

There is now a second PDF to download with this pattern. It is a helpful compilation of most frequently asked questions about the original DaVinci Cowl.

Colour used is called Stormchaser.
