The Dear Snow Cowl makes a punny play on wishing for snow during the winter with its large snowflakes and frolicking deer. This piece has no wrong side because it’s worked in a tube and grafted together for a cowl that looks good from all sides.

YARN HiKoo Kenzie (50% New Zealand merino, 25% nylon, 10% angora, 10% alpaca, 5% silk noils; 160 yd / 1.75 oz): #1010 glacier (light aqua; MC), 2 balls; #1013 tekapo (teal; A), 2 balls; #1023 wombat (brown; B), 1 ball. Yarn distributed by Skacel.

NEEDLES Size 4 (3.5 mm): 16″ circular. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTIONS Marker; waste yarn; spare circular needle in same size or smaller than working needle; tapestry needle.

GAUGE 26 sts and 28 rnds = 4″ in charted patt.

NOTES This cowl begins with a provisional cast-on, then is worked in the round to form a long tube. Then the cowl is given a half-twist and the ends are grafted together using Kitchener stitch.
