Having come across the idea of illusion or shadow knitting I decided, being a fan of the Terry Pratchett Discworld series, that Death’s Head would be a very appropriate design to try using this technique.

The completed design is 120 stitches wide and 180 ridges (360 rows) high.

The third and fourth photographs here show the completed design looking directly on the front and directly on the back.

The fifth photograph is of the Death’s Head project completed by KlickKat and the sixth and seventh are of the project completed by maryaustria. I particularly like the way the inclussion of the cat in the seventh photograph gives a good idea of the scale of the piece. The final two photographs agai show the scale of the piece very well and are of the blanket knitted by fufighter.
