December is full of so many things, but most important are those that you made yourself. December brings snow in Utah and my favorite memory is that of great big flakes of snow that fall upon the ground in bundles of fluffy mounds. Pine trees bring on a sense of Christmas, both large and small, and in attempt to bring the Year of the Afghan together I envisioned December to tie back into January’s square.

Includes charted pattern.

Note: If you found yourself using a smaller size needle on January for the snow portion of the square I suggest doing the same with this square as it is a bit tight in the center where the trees are.

Includes a lined version of the pattern that highlights every other row for easier following.

Terms to know definitions are on last page of written pattern.

This afghan block is the twelfth block in a series of 12 for the Year of the Afghan. Every first Tuesday of the month I will release the newest square throughout 2015.

Click here to purchase the e-book for $15 and on the first Tuesday of each month you will receive the updated copy with that month’s pattern without having to remember to upload it.
