Diadem is a top down triangular shawl using a 100g skein of 4ply yarn and is embellished with hand-dyed silk ribbons.

The shawl was designed using The Wool Kitchen’s Superwash 4ply BFL in Champagne Supernova and Monahan Ribbons from Loop London in Honey and Blossom.

The top section has an interesting lace edging that forms a crown-like appearance with silk ribbons woven through a row of eyelets that sit just below the lace.

The main body is worked in garter stitch and is gently shaped to give a subtle curve.

The tension is given after the shawl has been blocked, which changes the size significantly.

Special thanks to Helen at The Wool Kitchen, Susan at Loop and Mairead and Rae for test knitting and general hand holding!
