One of my best friends mentioned she couldn’t find a hat that wouldn’t crush her hair. I looked at her like she was crazy and said, here try mine. Perfect fit, just needed to be a little longer, and not such a crazy pattern.

And thus this pattern was born, because I am a knitter and I can not let my friends go cold when I have the will and the wool!

This is a diamond pattern adapted from one of the Barbara Walker books made so that it can be as subtle or as loud as your colour choices. It is, for all that it looks complex, a fairly easy pattern to follow and good for fits time colour work, there aren’t any floats longer then 3 stitches so no need to worry about getting things anchored.

Enjoy!
