The gauge for the medium size is 22 stitches by 30 rows over 4inches/10cm in stockinette.

This pattern takes 2 colours of yarn and will use 2 full balls for each set, so if you want to make both the fingerless and the full mitts double the amounts given for yardage.

Pop of Cherries was designed to be an easy colourwork knit. Just involved enough to keep a pro interested but simple enough for someone trying colourwork for the first time.

The pattern was originally designed as something for a swap partner and as a play on words that she had used. I had a great time knitting them and everyone I showed them to wanted a copy of the pattern.

These are slightly modified from the version I sent to my swap partner, I wanted to make sure that her’s remained unique!

There is also a hat and cowl on the way for this pattern, I just have to finish writing them up so they will hopefully be launched in the new year.

Also in the new year this pattern will be available from Knit Picks as part of their wonderful Independent Designer Program. The yarn that I chose for them is a wonderful line from KP that has cashmere and is oh so soft. This makes this a wonderful quick project for someone who wants a touch of luxury in their lives or in the life of someone they love!
