Diamonds, Please is a graceful sport-weight shawl featuring relaxing stockinette and garter stitch, an optional picot edging, and a sprinkling of diamonds.

This shawl is knitted from the top down, beginning with a stockinette-stitch triangle. Slip-stitch columns grow into lace diamonds that dance along the bottom edge of the shawl.

Fully written instructions are provided, along with optional charts.

Materials:

  • Approximately 650 yds/594 m sport-weight yarn (shown in Cloudborn Merino Alpaca Sport in Graphite Heather)
  • US size 6/4.0 mm circular needle (or size necessary to achieve gauge), preferably 40”/100 cm long
  • 20 Stitch markers, including 2 in a contrast color
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
  • Pins for blocking
