INTRODUCTION
The DK Shrug is a basic shrug pattern knitted in one size. It is knitted flat on circular needles. It begins with a 1x1 ribbing, Then the body is knitted in stockinette stitch and then finished with an additional 1x1 ribbing. After knitting is complete the shrug is blocked and laid flat to dry to the finished measurements. Then the seams are worked with a Mattress Stitch.

This pattern calls for DK weight yarn knitted on US 9 / 5.5 mm needles. This is a very loose gauge, which results in a very comfortable drape to the finished garment.
