With 12 pineapples around the edge and a filet star design, Dodeca-Pineapple is a versatile pattern. With two strands of worsted yarn it makes a cozy rug for a cold winter day. With lighter yarn, it makes a great table decoration or placemat that will add a cheerful touch to your setting.

Size: With two strands of worsted weight cotton yarn, rug is approximately 38” in diameter. Size will vary with yarn weight and hook from approximately 11.5” with lace weight yarn to 61” with four strands of worsted.

Level: Advanced beginner

The pattern is written in English using US crochet terms. The PDF download includes:

  • The complete pattern
  • A step by step tutorial with 24 pictures
  • A list of materials
  • A list of abbreviations

Two pdfs are included: a printer friendly pattern and a longer tutorial.

Gauge: With two strands of worsted weight yarn, rounds 1-3 are approximately 4.5” in diameter.

I made this rug with worsted weight cotton acrylic blend yarn held double and a 6.5 mm (K) hook. However, it can be made with a range of yarn weights.
