Donegal Sweater

Knitting
July 1994
Fingering / 4 ply (14 wpi) ?
15 stitches and 15 rows = 2 inches in pattern, using 3¼mm (US3) needles, and working the pattern on right side only, breaking off the yarns at the end of every row
To fit chest/bust 86-91 (97-102, 107-112) cm/34-36 (38-40, 42-44)"

Pattern Description from The Celtic Collection: “Here I wanted to create a regular spiral pattern similar to those that are a common feature on stonework, metalwork and manuscripts. This particular design works very well for a sweater in the traditional Fair Isle style where the motif is repeated against a background of bands of different colours. Rustic shades of a Donegal tweed yarn have been used throughout.”
