“Don’t Touch Those Leaves” refers to a funny poison ivy story from my childhood. My oldest sister, Wendy, always thought she knew more and better than me. Well, you can imagine what she did when I told her, “Don’t Touch Those Leaves!” She didn’t listen. Although Wendy is in heaven now, I know she would laugh, remembering the consequences of her stubborn “big sister” behavior.

This pattern is written for cuff down socks, which contain a lacey leaf motif that runs down the leg and top of the foot. One skein of fingering weight sock yarn is plenty, with leftovers to make minis.

I hope you enjoy knitting and wearing these summer leafy socks. And remember: Don’t Touch Those Leaves!
