This is an original sock pattern made up using a Double Cross Cable and a Chain Cable pattern. It is a fun sock to knit and challenging for the intermediate knitter. The results of the double cable for the leg and then a chain cable running down the foot is just beautiful!
The heel and toe are knitted in a subtle diagonal pattern that compliment the sock and believe it or not was the real challenge in writing this pattern. The resulting look and feel worked well with the cables. I used Knit Picks Stroll Fingering but any fingering weight yarn will work. The color is Dove Heather. Just make sure that the guage is correct. Directions are written…this has no visual graph.
Enjoy and hope that you enjoy knitting this sock, as much as i loved creating it!
And i hope you will make this a staple of your collection of sock patterns. Have fun!
