Helical stripes take away the worries about colour ‘jogs’ when you change colour and I can’t get enough of it! These may be my first helical striped socks design but I don’t think they’ll be my last!

Sizes
To fit foot circumference: 20 (21.5, 22.5, 24, 25.5) cm / 8 (8.5, 9, 9.5, 10) ins

Shown in Sock Club 3, Sun (MC), Pale Sky (C1) and Even Sky (C2) which were dyed for Sock Club. However, other Platinum Sock sets will be available. This pattern is also a great one for using up the yarns you have left over from other socks.

Recommended Needles
2.5 mm in your preferred sock needle type: DPNs, short circular sock needles or long circular needle for the magic loop technique.

Notions
Scissors, 3 stitchmarkers, darning needle for ends

Gauge
32 stitches and 44 rounds to 10 cm / 4 ins measured over stocking stitch

Construction and Techniques
The sock is knit in the round from the cuff down. The heel is a flap and gusset construction with the gusset being on the bottom of the foot. The toe is closed using matress stitch.

The socks are knit using the helical knitting technique for using more than 2 balls. The pattern includes details of what to do with each strand of yarn.
