Pattern is written for knitters who already know how to work lace and are familiar with the Herringbone stitch in the round. If knitter is not familiar with the Herringbone stitch, there are excellent videos on YouTube.

Cowl is knit in the round from the bottom-up. Lace section is worked first, followed by Herringbone stitch body. Stitches used in this pattern: Knit, purl, yarn over, Ssk, K2tg, K1FB (knit 1-front and 1-back of the same stitch). Chart shows the lace pattern only.
