The Downeast region of Maine is renowned for its historic lighthouses, rocky coastline, and wildlife habitat. This shawlette was inspired by the natural beauty of Downeast Maine, and is the perfect accessory to help prevent a chill during cool weather any time of the year.

Crochet skills used in this pattern: sliding loop adjustable ring, chain, double crochet, single crochet, slip stitch through the back loop, and picot.

Finished piece measures 36 3⁄4 inches across the long edge, 26 inches along each of the short edges, and 18 inches from top to bottom. Use this size as a guideline, but feel free to adjust the pattern as you see fit.

A note about gauge: Use a gauge that works for you. I recommend swatching to determine the best fabric for your shawlette.
