Pattern includes a chart as well as line by line instructions. If knitted at the listed gauge, you will use just over half a skein of yarn.

Note on the yarn: Any DK or worsted yarn will work for this pattern, but I find that I like the hand on the Rowan Handknit Cotton as it wears, and it seems more colorfast than some other cotton options.
