Baby blankets are a classic gift to knit, and this one is the perfect project for any skill level. This is a great project to for beginner knitters, and it’s also a fun, relaxing project for more experienced knitters. The blanket is knit from corner to corner, increasing until you reach the widest point and then decreasing back down to create a square.

The blanket will measure approximately 96cm by 96cm (38in by 38in). If you want to make a bigger blanket, all you need to remember is that for the increasing half, each stripe takes the amount of yarn used in the previous stripe plus two times the amount of yarn used in the first stripe, and the decreasing half uses the opposite yarn quantities.
