This is a tutorial for crocheted Christmas trees. It assumes that the crafter has basic crochet experience, including crochet in the round and double-crochet. The tree is crocheted holding two strands of different Novelty Yarns together…and while this can be quite fussy at first, I think you’ll find that the fuzzy yarns are great camouflage for less than even, or imperfect stitches. =D

I’m really not sure of the gauge or yardage for this project, but I made two trees with one ball each of both yarns, and I have TONS of the stuff left. I bet I could easily get 4 or 5 trees from one ball each of both yarns. Also, the trees are crocheted to be placed over a cone from some cotton yarn. I used a couple cones I had on hand, but you can also get styrofoam forms at most craft stores. :)

If you know how to double crochet, and you like to decorate for Christmas, I hope you’ll give these a try. They are super quick, and small enough to decorate even the tiniest of spaces! I have them all over my office and home, and they just make me happy!

Happy stitching!
