Intro-to-Ravelry special 10% off Ebi pattern.
No coupon needed. Offer good through June 19, 2016.
The inspiration for Ebi comes from the iconic Texas bluebonnets that cover the countryside every spring in a vivid shade of blue. I used a textured lace pattern reminiscent of flowers to bring this beautiful plant to life.
Ebi, meaning ‘blue’, is a generously sized crescent worked in one piece from the top down. A set of simple garter stitch short rows is worked first to give the shawl its versatile crescent shape, followed by the deep lace border.
The lace is very easy to work thanks to the basic stitches and purled wrong side rows. There are beads added throughout the lace for a bit of sparkle and for additional drape (650 6/0 4.00mm seed beads), but those are optional and the shawlcan be worked without them.
