The Edele Cardigan takes a break from colorwork to echo a simpler time with an all-over textured snowflake pattern while a deep neckline and basic shaping gives this design a modern, boyfriend cardigan appeal. Worked flat in one piece, the Edele Cardigan also features afterthought pockets and as well as optional belt loops which are worked at the end. The solid red of the cardigan is inspired by traditional Danish color schemes, while the textured motif is worked in a simple knit and purl patterning. The sleeves are knit identically and are worked in the round to the sleeve caps, which are then worked flat. Finally, the sleeves are sewn in, the collar sewn down, and the pocket borders are picked up and knit on. Add your choice of buttons finish off this classic cardigan.

Notions: yarn needle, stitch markers, six 7.75” buttons, stitch holders or scrap yarn, and a crochet hook (optional, for belt loops).
