Designed for men or women, these double layered mittens are both warm and pretty - or simply just extra warm for the men in your life!

The sizing is from x-small to x-large and the sizes are created by a combination of stitch count and needle sizing, gauge is important for the sizing.

The thumb placement is set with waste yarn as you knit and the stiches for the thumb are picked up after the body is knit. There are step by step instructions and a photo tutorial for this technique.

Pattern also incudes grafting instructions for finishing the mitten tops.

There are 2 different lace charts to choose from in this pattern. They are both based on Cat’s Paw Lace patterns, one the classic Shetland and the other an Estonian Cat’s Paw. Knit lace all around the palm and back of hand of the mitten or only on the back of the hand.

If you want a double layer, solid mitten with no lace that option is also available.

There is also a wide cuff option. These dressy mittens with the wide cuff are designed to be worn over the cuff of your coat.

There is also basic instructions for placing beads with a crochet hook and (coloured pink) shaded stitch locations for most effective bead placement.

Approx 200 size 6/0 beads are needed if beading the mitts.
