Eleanor on Holiday is a stylish seamless raglan cardigan, knitted from the collar down. It begins with a lace rectangle, forming the back of its neck, and is then shaped with simple increases to create a raglan yoke. The lace panels, adorning its front, are worked simultaneously with the body. The top sizes also feature some waist shaping for a better fit.

The cardigan is knitted using 4ply Fyberspates Vivacious, a gorgeous hand-dyed yarn with gentle variegation.

Notes on construction: The cardigan is knitted from the top down, seamlessly. It begins with a provisional cast on that forms the base for the faux seam of the back neck. Full instructions with photographs on provisional cast-on are included in the pattern. You can find more information on this technique over HERE.

The back neck is then worked in two stages. First, a small lace rectangle is worked from the provisional cast on to create the right side of the collar; after the rectangle is finished, this step is mirrored to create the left side of the collar – the stitches are worked in the opposite direction from the provisional cast-on.
