Pattern Notes
• Bottom-up construction
• Raglan-style seamless sleeves
• The pattern is designed to challenge the experienced knitter who is comfortable working from multiple charts simultaneously, as well as performing decreases while staying in pattern.
• The gauge of the combination of cable patterns that make up the fabric of this sweater body should closely match the measurement provided for the Chart D Panel. It is suggested that you create two swatches prior to casting on, one in stockinette and one to check your cabling gauge. Cabling gauge should be prioritized since the chest measurement is based upon it.

Each of my children has a namesake design. Eliot is my fourth son; his arrival was complicated so it’s fitting that “his” sweater is more intricate. The original Eliot is a buttoned hoodie for babies. Later versions feature a collar with a zippered closure and neckline buttons. The Eli Cardigan retains many of the same cable patterns, tweaked to capitalize on the extra fabric needed for adults.
