The cold never bothered me anyway. Just kidding; I hate winter. One of the best things about it is being able to wear cozy handknits. Inspired by everyone’s favorite Ice Queen, this cowl will keep you or the happy recipient both warm and elegant with twisted stitches based on traditional Scandinavian designs. Make it short or long, buttoned or grafted, in worsted-weight or bulky yarn. Familiarity with working twisted stitch patterns is advisable, since twisted stitch patterning is worked on both right and wrong sides.

The pattern includes instructions for both worsted and bulky versions. The cowl is worked flat on the bias and seamed or buttoned. The stitch pattern is given in both charted and written format.
