Pattern description from Knitting Little Luxuries: “These basic mittens are knitted flat and seamed afterwards, making them the ideal canvas for adding embroidered embellishment. The luxurious yarns used for this pattern - a silk and wool blend for the striped mittens and a beautifully soft angora for the embroidered mittens - will keep fingers toasty all winter.”

Finished Size: 6.75” (17cm) circumference measured above the thumb.

Yarn: DK weight (#3 Light).

  • Striped Mittens: Louisa Harding Grace (50% merino wool, 50% silk; 110 yd 101 m/50 g): #3 dove (gray), #5 olive, and #4 rose, 1 ball each.
  • Embellished Mittens: Louisa Harding Kimono Angora Pure (70% angora, 25% wool, 5% nylon; 125 yd 114 m/25 g): #1 rice (tan), 2 balls; and Louisa Harding Thalia (52% polyamid, 24% acrylic, 12% mohair, 6% wool, 6% metallic; 93 yd 85 m/50 g): #1 natural (brown/gray multi), 1 hank.
