If you are a fan of Larkrise to Candleford series on PBS and the shawls they wear, you will love this pattern.
ERRATA:
Rnds 45-51:
Thistle (7 rounds) (204 3-dc groups)
Rnds 52 and 53: Turquoise -- last 2 rounds (Rnd 53 is different from the others)
Note: The number at the end of Rnd 52 MUST, when divided by 4, result in an even number. Example: 208 divided by 4 = 52, 52 is an even number.

I had some Sagebrush, Smoke and Redwood.
I am using the Sagebrush as the light shade.
I dyed the Redwood a dark brown and the smoke a pale turquoise.
I am guessing on the yarn amount, since I am still in the process of making this. I did a swatch, counted the 3-dc groups, ripped it out and measured the yardage.
Finger weight wool, ( I used Jaggerspun 2/8 Heathers),
I recommend the following options:
MC (Sagebrush), Color A (Bayberry), Color B (Walnut)
OR Knit Picks Palette Finger weight in colors:
MC (Thicket), Color A (Sky Blue or Opal Heather), Color B (Bison)
MC -- Sagebrush, approximately 800 yards
Color A -- Lt. Turquoise, approximately 300 yards
Color B -- Dark Brown, approximately 700 yards
Crochet hook, size F (3.75 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge: In pattern, three 3-dc groups = 2”

My blue is not the right shade of light blue turquoise, but Emma’s would have used whatever she had on hand. So I think she would approve.
