This pattern includes the instructions for making both a cuddly enveloping wrap and a loose slouchy hat.

The wrap makes use of the reversible cable technique to give a fabric that can be worn in a multitude of ways: double looped up around the neck or over the head, worn long and loopy around the shoulders with or without a twist, or unbuttoned and worn like a scarf.

The hat uses one of the stitch patterns from the wrap so it has a similar textural look.

Knitted from a luxurious bulky weight tweed yarn, this wrap and hat set will make your winter days cozier.

Materials:
• Luxury Collection Llama Silk by Diamond Yarns, 3 skeins for the wrap plus 1 skein for the hat (100 gram per skein) at 134 yds / 123 m each (or substitute with approximately 520 yds of bulky weight yarn, 400 for the wrap and 120 for the hat)
• For the wrap - US 9 (5.5 mm) needle, either straight or circular will work, 5 mm crochet hook (US 8/H for crochet cast on for button bands)
• For the hat - US 7 (4.5 mm) 16” circular needle, or longer if using magic loop (for ribbing on hat only), US 9 (5.5 mm) 16” circular needle, or longer if using magic loop (for main part of hat), US 9 (5.5 mm) double pointed needles (for crown of hat - not necessary if using magic loop technique with a longer
circular needle), 4.5 or 5.0mm crochet hook (US 7 or 8/H) for crochet cast on
• stitch markers (2 for the wrap, 1 for the hat)
• 6 buttons, 1” diameter (plus an extra 6 smaller plain buttons to use as anchors, if desired) and coordinating scrap yarn for attaching the buttons (used sock weight yarn in the sample wrap)
