Thrace is a triangular garter stitch scarf worked from the center top outward and down, growing in width much faster than in length to form a wide shallow triangle. It was designed to showcase two coordinating colours of yarn. On one side there are obvious stripes, whereas on the other side the two yarns blend for a more subtle look. It is finished with a unique manipulated rolled edging.

Although the original prototype was made using a light worsted weight cotton-linen blend this pattern is appropriate for anything from fingering to worsted weight yarn. If using a different needle size you will need to adjust your yardage accordingly.

To work the manipulated rolled edging you will need a crochet hook in a size similar to the knitting needle(s) used to make the scarf.
