As I was dealing with a stressful teaching week, I decided to watch “The Hobbit” and pick up an old project with an Elvin looking cable, and my mind (logically!) started to think about Dwarven cables. I dug through my Harmony Guide and found lots of exciting, dwarven looking cables that just cried out to be knit into accessories fit for Throin and company. So, the Erebor hat was born! I wanted something really square and masculine looking, but the halls of the Lonely Mountain get cold, and even the toughest dwarf would appreciate the finely wrought cables of this warm hat.
