Esther’s Lace Shawlette begins at center back and is worked downward. The shawlette starts with stocking stitch and rapid increases which establish a crescent shape, providing lovely drape. This is followed by lace which is an easy variation on Van Dyke eyelets. Knowledge of center back shawl construction and use of charts is helpful.
This pattern is charted.
Pattern contains 2 versions: the original, traditional top-down version, and a second version with a center back panel of Van dyke eyelets.
