Summer is the reward for enduring the winter. It is the kisses of the sun, the caress of the breeze, the cream on the strawberries, the icing on the cake … As much as winter gives us the change to snuggle, summer give us freedom, sunshine, warm rain, long days, bright stars and flowers – lots and lots of flowers!

Eternal Summer is part of The Seasonality Collection, a collection of four patterns to ensure you have the perfect shawl for any time of the year. Please note: Purchasing the collection offers a saving. Refunds cannot be given if you purchase the patterns individually and then wish to purchase the collection as an ebook.

Eternal Summer is a top down, crescent shaped, shawl with a beaded body and a generous lace panel before a dramatic and lacy border !

REQUIREMENTS
Yarn: One skein of DyeForYarn Tussah Silk Lace (695m/100g) or yarn of similar fibre/yardage.
Size: 81” (205.5cm) wide, 18” (45cm) deep after blocking as written. Chart 2 can be worked fewer or further times for to change the size of the shawl, but yardage and bead requirements will alter accordingly. Measurements taken using DyeForYarn Tussah Silk Lace. Note that measurements will differ depending on yarn, tension, blocking etc and these are therefore given as a guide only.
Circular Needles: 3.5mm (US4), 3.75mm (US5) and 4mm (US6) (for bind off only) about 1m in length or needles to create a pleasing fabric that is not too dense and has a good drape.
You will also need: stitch markers, just under 830 size 6 seed beads (as written), needle (for weaving in ends), blocking pins and mats, cro-tat needle or small crochet hook for applying beads as all beads are applied to the stitch as you knit. Do not string beads onto the yarn prior to working.
Gauge: The gauge achieved was 22 sts to 4” before blocking and 16 sts to 4” after – measurement taken over garter stitch using 3.75mm (US 5) needles. A looser gauge will result in additional yardage requirements.

You will find it useful to print your pattern on a colour printer or colour your beads in coloured pencils.

A looser gauge will result in additional yardage requirements.

The pattern is both fully written and charted.
