Evening Breeze is a simple yet colorful garter stitch striped shawl designed to keep you cozy when the evening breezes begin to stir. Inspired by the San Francisco Bay Area coastal breezes that often rise in the late afternoon and cool down even the hottest of days, this lightweight, triangular shawl can be worn as a wrap or a cozy scarf.

The photos of my blue version show the shawl in Isager Spinni. My green version is a shorter version, using Madeleine Tosh Merino Light. Ros61 did the full-length version and used yarn that she hand-dyed!

Evening Breezes is part of my Evening Lights shawl series. Evening Runway and Evening Garden will be coming soon! All three reflect the subtle yet beautiful changes in light and air as the day transitions slowly through the evening, into the night.

I would like to thank my wonderful test knitters, Ros61 and Skeinsporchswings. Beautiful color choices and lovely knitting!

As with all of my patterns, proceeds from pattern sales go to local animal rescue shelters (and some to the Marine Mammal Center!)
