My husband decided to build my son, Everett, a toddler bed for his next birthday in the shape of a tractor. He then asked me to design a blanket for this bed and “make it look like dirt, with tire tracks in it.”

And now you know why I named this pattern “Dirt Nap.”

The homespun provided the perfect color way and texture, and I finished the blanket in a matter of hours.

I promise to take pictures of the bed once it is done.

I only used 2 skeins of yarn in my particular blanket, but 3 would have been better for a good sized baby blanket.

Do it in a green and make it look like a grassy hill, or all white for a cloud effect.

This is a very easy pattern and is memorized quickly.
