Pattern description from Knitting for Dummies: “This basic bag is handy for carrying your wallet, keys, and some lip balm. Make it larger and throw in your glasses case and notebook. Make it even bigger, add a pocket, and use it for a knitting bag. You’ll find several ways to vary this project at the end f this section. So cast on and get started!”

Finished Measurements: This pattern makes a bage 8 inches wide by 9 inches long, with a 4-inch flap

Materials: One 3.5-ounce skein Tahki Donegal Tweed (100% wool) in any color, one pair of size 7 needles, one button any size.

Knitting Tip: “Even though garter stitch is reversible, your cast-on edge will look different from each side. Choose which side you like better and make that side the right side.”

Additional Material: one button, any size.
