This simple yet elegant infant blanket is the perfect size for the stroller or car seat, or simply draping over baby during a nap. The smaller size makes it a quick gift to crochet, and the eyelet pattern makes it a classic and heirloom-quality piece of work.

The model was crocheted using 5 skeins of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran. Students of mine have sometimes used 6, depending upon how tightly or loosely they crochet. I’ve made many versions of this blanket using either the Cashmerino or with Plymouth Fantasy Naturale. The Fantasy Naturale consistently yielded a slightly larger blanket because of the drape and elasticity of the yarn.
