This versatile rectangular wrap is worked in rounds with steek stitches that are cut open after the knitting is complete (see page 20)—the top edge is fastened with buttons; the steeks remain open at the side. The plaid design is worked in the stranded colorwork technique, then additional single vertical red stitches are added with duplicate stitch.

Finished Size About 64” (162.5 cm) wide and 14½“ (37 cm) tall.

Yarn Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift (100% Shetland wool; 115 yd 105 m/25 g): #106 Mooskit (MC; tan), 6 balls; #726 Prussian Blue (CC1; dark blue); 5 balls, #135 Surf (CC2; light blue), 2 balls; #595 Maroon (CC3), 1 ball. Fingering weight (#1 Super Fine)
