This is a sideways shawl designed to showcase strong self-striping yarns. The pattern is both charted and written. I used approx 3 1/2 skeins of Red Heart “Green Envy” to reach a blocked size of 88 x 22.5. It can be worked with any size yarn/needles but the end result will vary.

The border is a leaf pattern that reverses when you start the decreasing so the leaves “fall” on both sides of the shawl. The first stitch of every wrong side row is slipped to provide a smoother selvage.

The error in the stitch count mentioned by Feleciah has been fixed. The updated charts were uploaded March 11, 2013. Anyone downloading the chart after that date will have the correct pattern.

Thanks Feleciah for catching that!

Every effort has been made to ensure the pattern is error-free. That being said, if a mistake is found please don’t hesitate to contact me so I can get it fixed.

Enjoy! :-D
