I had made the shawl Bigger on the Inside by Kate Atherley for my roomie who is a Huge Dr. Who fan. I have always preferred to make mitts when possible to go with the shawls. Since I had plenty of yarn left over, I came up with these.

The pattern does involve some very simple cables and I used a clear glass bead for the “light” on top of the TARDIS instead of a bobble. For anyone that has made socks, these are constructed close to the same way. If one prefers to knit flat and graft, it could very easily be modified for that type of construction.

Since I wrote the pattern on a small piece of paper several years ago as my “go-to” mitt pattern it’s very possible what makes perfect sense to me is clear as mud to someone else so please feel free to contact me with any mistakes.

Thank you again Kate Atherley for letting me incorporate your chart into my pattern!

Enjoy!
