Rows of Twigg stitch fans are stacked one on top of another in nine tiers for this wide, shallow geometric shawl. The first tier begins with a twined-cable cast-on, then three fans are worked in basic Twigg stitch. Each successive tier contains one additional fan, and the fans gradually increase in size to create a gently curved shape. A two-color
stretchy chain bind-off ensures that the outer edge remains loose and flexible. Although this shawl appears complicated, each fan follows a simple, basic plan that’s easy to memorize.
