A cowlette inspired by Fanny Price, the heroine of Mansfield Park.

The cowlette is split into three sections and three colours. Firstly it is worked flat and then in the round, just like Fanny’s life is turned around when she is sent to live with her wealthy relations. Falling in love with her cousin Edmund, Fanny is happy enough with her life but then the Crawford siblings enter the picture, causing a shake-up at Mansfield Park. This is symbolised by the textured section, interrupting the stockinette stitch. Edmund’s affections seem to be elsewhere until he finally realises Fanny is the one, and they marry at the end of the novel. The cowlette finishes with a beautiful lace edging featuring a few cable twists to show the twist of Edmund realising his true feelings.

I have used 3 mini skeins, at 92yds each from Beehive Yarns.
