Fast Circle for Beginners by Amy Solovay

Fast Circle for Beginners

This pattern is available for free.

The actual name of this pattern is “Fast, Easy Crochet Circle for Beginners (Free Pattern and Tutorial)”.

I originally created this circle to be a component of a crochet snowflake trivet pattern. There’s a free pattern available for crocheting the trivet; you are welcome to use your little circles for making that project if you like. However, there are bunches of other things you could use it for, so please make good use of it if you have other ideas.

After designing the trivet, I have used these little circles for zillions of other purposes, so I thought I would write up a standalone tutorial for making the circles.

A partial list of things I’ve used these circles for:

Suggested Yarn for Crocheting These Circles

You can use any weight or size of yarn for crocheting this little circle. If you are a beginner to crochet, I suggest using a medium weight or bulky weight yarn when you try crocheting this circle for the first time.

Crochet Stitches You’ll Need to Know

To enjoy success with this circle pattern, you’ll need to know how to do chain stitches, double crochet stitches and slip stitches. If you haven’t mastered these yet, you are welcome to use our free tutorials for learning the stitches:

I welcome your feedback on this pattern, and the floor is open for comments if you have suggestions for additional ideas on how to use these little circles. If you have questions or comments, please post a comment in the comments section of the pattern page. I don’t spend much time here at Ravelry, so if you message me with your questions and comments, I probably will not see them or respond in a timely manner.

Thanks so much for your interest in this pattern! I really appreciate it.

Blessings,
Amy Solovay
