This pattern has been test-knitted, and a new version with corrections has been posted. All proceeds go to Haitian Relief and Doctors without Borders, indefinitely.

Perfect for that variegated yarn so stunning it deserves more than stockinette; it needs a pattern that will not only show up, but show it off and keep the knitter entertained!

This color-friendly pattern was born of a fusion and modification of two traditional Shetland Lace patterns, “Feather and Fan” and “Lace Feather”: hence, Feathers, and the Eye of Partridge heel. Try it in any sock-weight yarn you like; the socks shown are made with variegated yarn, but the scalloping in the pattern would also complement a self-striping variety, and you can’t go wrong with a solid color either.

Size small has a finished foot circumference of 6.5”, size large 7.5”.
