Another quick and easy unisex cabled hat pattern, with sizes to fit the entire family!
Pattern includes 3 sizes - small (child), medium (teen) and large (adult).
Required materials include 150 - 225 yards of worsted weight yarn.
Sample was knit using Berroco Ultra Wool.
Pattern is knit in the round - starting with ribbing at the bottom edge. You can adjust the length of ribbing, depending on whether you want to wear the brim folded up or not.
The body is worked in an interesting combination of easy cables. Instructions are clearly written out.
Because the cabled fabric has a lot of stretch to it, hats will fit a variety of head sizes.
Recommended gauge is 5 stitches per inch in stockinette stitch, on larger needles.

Recommended needles:
16” circular, size 5 (for ribbing); 16” circular, size 7 (for body); double pointed needles, size 7 (for top shaping).

Required skills include casting on, knitting, purling, working in the round on circular and double pointed needles, knitting basic cables, and decreasing.
