Saint Nicholas is knit in the round from the top down. His nose, eyes, coat buttons and hat trim are attached prior to felting. His hair, beard and pom-pom are attached after felting. He is knit in stockinette stitch to the end of his coat, and finished off with an i-cord bind off.

This is a fairly quick project - something an intermediate/advanced knitter could do in 2-3 nights of knitting.

Finished Felted Size:
13in (33cm) tall and 11¼ in (28.5cm) in diameter at base.

Materials:
Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Bulky; 1 ball each in #Red Baron, #Cream and #Onyx
6mm (US10) circular needle (40ins (100cm))
Tapestry needle
4mm (US6) crochet hook
Stitch markers

Gauge:
13 stitches = 4in (10cm) over stockinette stitch in the round.
(Row gauge isn’t too important for this project)
