This handsome bag is created with simple Fair Isle patterns in a regular sequence of colour combinations. It is ideal as a first project for someone new to stranded knitting.

The pattern uses six different colours of worsted weight, feltable pure wool. You will need between half and one full skein of each colour.

This pattern was designed as a teaching pattern for stranded knitting. It is posted here as a free pattern because we want everyone to discover how easy it really is to learn and love stranded colourwork. If you have any problems with this pattern, please contact mairi. She’d love to help.

The copyright on this pattern is for individual, non-commercial use only. Explicit permission is required for other uses, but reasonable requests (especially teaching) will be granted - please contact mairi.
