April is Fiesta time in San Antonio, and Fiesta Emma is ready for the parade in her colorful Mexico-inspired outfit! Fiesta Emma is about 19 inches tall when made with worsted weight yarn and a G crochet hook. She has curly black hair and a pink rag-doll style nose, bloomers, sandals, and a removeable dress. Fiesta Emma is cuddly and soft, and would make a fun friend for any little girl.

MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES:

-Embroidery floss or craft thread – black, pink
-Size G crochet hook
-Two 12-mm black plastic eyes
-One ½“ (1.3cm) button for bloomers, white
-Three 5/8” (15mm) buttons, yellow

-5-inch (12.7 cm) doll needle, large tapestry needle, 2.5-inch (6.4cm) milliner’s needle, small sewing needle
-Sewing thread – yellow, white

Guage is not important as long as you use the same hook and yarn size for all pieces. Because you can create different tension at different times of the day, I suggest that when you must create two of the same piece, such as arms and legs, that you create both at the same time.
