First Light—what better inspiration for the first sock club colorway and pattern for the New Year? The colorway, as it transitions from coral to violet and then blue with grey speckles throughout is meant to reflect the early morning sky through the trees, and the patterning on the sock—the crisscrossing lattice—similarly calls to mind interwoven tree branches at the horizon. This pattern is quickly intuitive and should be a fun knit for the New Year!

Materials:
• 300-460 yards of fingering weight yarn (depending on size of calf and foot desired). Shown in francofille knits Aube on Chaussette (463 yards 100 grams)
• US size 1 (2.25 mm) circular needles with cable long enough for magic loop (or preferred sock needles) Note: directions are given as if working magic loop.
• Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)
• 1 stitch marker (to mark beginning of round
