I had so much fun working up this pattern! Originally designed for a co-worker who is an unabashed flamingo fan! :) Currently her flamingo is donning her desk - what a perfect office pet! Cute and cuddly without having to pick up after them! :) Now you can make one of your own or for a friend!

The pattern is fairly straightforward - suitable for beginner/intermediate crocheters. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi.

The pattern will be sent to you in PDF format (you will need Adobe acrobat to open it) within 24 hours of purchase. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have as you are making your Flamingo!

Materials you will need are as follows:

  • Black 4ply yarn for beak tip and wings
  • Yellow yarn for legs
  • Orange yarn for beak
  • Pink yarn for body
  • 1 Pair black safety eyes of 7mm
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stuffing
  • G hook (size 6- 4.25MM)
  • Optional: Piece of 6 inch wire to put inside neck to help keep the head up

Finished size: Approximately 6 inches tall from head to heel and 5 ½ inches wide – nose tip to bum! :)
